Apprenticeships at Murtfeldt

Murtfeldt is not just popular because of its many and varied training and further education opportunities. Apprentices training to become Industrial Clerks also have the opportunity to take part in a project as part of a European exchange programme. They can also gain valuable professional experience for this by working for a fixed period in Great Britain or France. Much is also done in terms of further training, with different seminars regularly offered.

Of course, training is not just offered at Murtfeldt for altruistic reasons. "Plastics processing was in its infancy for many years and there was no clean job specification for our field of work," states Managing Director Detlev Höhner, commenting on the early days of apprenticeships within the company. "For this reason we often had to break in new employees over several months in their new plastic working environment." This was a time-consuming and expensive undertaking, which we were able to circumvent by providing in-house training.

The demand for qualified chipping engineers in plastics engineering has risen sharply in recent years, with further growth forecast. This is due to the increased demand for plastic components, which often replace metal components in machines.
